Q & E was set up in 1987 to provide high quality, customized and innovative Organisation Development consultancy and training services to organisations in all sectors.


Our primary mission is to support organisations to function effectively for their customers and for those who do the work. We engage senior leaders, showing them how to use Organisation Development processes and frameworks to build effective and healthy organisations, to help them ensure that the internal capacity and human systems of their organisation are robust enough to support its strategic ambitions. Most of our work in this area involves providing support to top leaders who are managing complex change initiatives.


Our secondary mission is to equip and develop Organisation Development Practitioners – both external and internal - so that they can deliver excellent support to leaders within their organisations. We work mainly by providing systematic education and development programmes for Organisation Development practitioners.


Scope of our Work

During the past 22 years, Q & E has worked with more than 300 major organisations in the private, public and non-profit sectors, accumulating in-depth experience of different types of OD projects and gaining extensive knowledge of a range of industries including energy, arts, retail and finance. Our consultancy work is held in high esteem by both clients and OD colleagues. We have also been associated with some very well known academic studies of change management projects.

Our Brand in the Marketplace

Q & E is known among its clients for combining academic rigour with in-depth practical skills, and for helping organisations to be as effective as possible while ensuring the wellbeing of the people who work in them. Q&E is principles driven. All our work is underpinned by the values of equality, diversity and concern for the needs, well-being, and interests of people. We take a whole system approach. We always share our data with the client before any intervention takes place and are committed to strengthening our clients’ internal resources. The majority of our clients are long term - 70% of our work is repeat business from clients who value our previous work with them.

Our Leadership Role in OD Education

In the past 10 years, Q&E has taken on a leadership role in the UK and Europe, increasing both the availability and standard of Organisation Development education. Q&E’s founder (as a Visiting Fellow) was instrumental in helping the Roffey Park Business School to set up the UK’s first continuous education programme for OD practitioners. We introduced the NTL OD Certificate Programme to the UK, and worked with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development to enhance its OD offering, both in its conference track and its external courses. Q&E’s founder regularly teaches OD Master Classes at various institutions.
